Embryo Donation: The Medical Process
This session will be presented by Carol Sommerfelt, a nationally recognized embryologist with the National Embryo Donation Center. Ms. Sommerfelt will provide detailed information about the medical process associated with donating embryos including donation options, medical protocols, success rates, and risk factors. Following the presentation, Ms. Sommerfelt will answer individual questions from the audience.

Embryo Donation: The Legal Process

This session will be presented by Eric Phelps, an attorney specializing in reproductive law. Mr. Phelps will offer information regarding the legal aspects of embryo donation. Following the presentation, Mr. Phelps will answer individual questions from the audience.

Embryo Donation: From an Adoptive Parent’s Perspective

Hear the compelling personal story of Mike and Nicole Bell, a couple who personally experienced the birth of twins following their embryo adoption. The Bells will answer questions following their presentation.

Embryo Donation: From an Embryo Donor’s Perspective

Join Tom and Amy Echols as they walk you through their personal journey with infertility and the events that led to their decision to donate their embryos to another couple. The Echols share their feelings about the donation process and reflect on the relationships they have built with the couple who adopted their embryos. Following the presentation, the Echols will answer individual questions from the audience.

Embryo Donation: Family Relationships and the Donation Experience

This session will be presented by Nancy Lesslie, Embryo Services Specialist for Bethany Christian Services. Ms. Lesslie will discuss the social, emotional, and familial aspects involved with embryo donation. Following the presentation, Ms. Lesslie will answer individual questions from the audience.
